  U.S. Senator Rick Scott posted a video this morning on Halloween on the platform X that warns parents to be careful this halloween. He explains that fentanyl looking like candy has been brought across the border by drug traffickers and cartels and that it can be handed out as normal candy to children. While this is a very serious thing to consider for your children on Halloween, there has actually been zero cases of any fentanyl candy lookalikes in the U.S. Drug policy experts have even said that there should be no worry for your children. While there is nothing wrong about Senator Scott warning parents about the safety of their children, this video can be seen as a slight form of fear mongering. He framed this story around not just drugs in general, but drug trafficking from cartels. Things start to click as to why he would do that as they align with his views on border policies! So it makes sense as to why he frames this story that way to social media. 

  We have to remind ourselves that one of the biggest pushers of lies aren't just politicians and media outlets, but our fellow U.S. citizens! Which is where social media platforms like Instagram, X, and TikTok come into play. The focus of this article is a video posted on TikTok that shows U.S. soldiers gearing up for deployment. Along with this video is the caption, "Thousands of US Troops make their way to Israel."  This would be a very alarming thing for you to see pop up on your feed. And it very much was for the just under 300 thousand people who viewed this video. The comment section with over 2,500 comments also show many of the peoples fear of the situation. One commenter says, "Keeping all in prayers, coming from a mom of a marine!" Another states, "It's crazy... how are we going to be safe if they're sending them to their war.   Recently former President Donald Trump has been caught lying saying that Ron DeSantis forced a mandated vaccine on Florida citizens. Donald Trump stated this in an interview with Megyn Kelley on her SiriusXM show. These are pretty bold claims to make by Trump. Most people believed this because why would he lie about something that can be proved wrong so easily? Well, he did just that. People were quick to look back at Florida's vaccine history during the COVID era and see no mandate was ever placed. Of course Florida provided vaccines for people, but none were ever a state mandate.
